Francisco Carvalho

Francisco Carvalho is a developer of sustainable solutions at UpValue - Circular Solutions, as he believes that our future will depend on how we smartly combine our view about our environment, our society, and our economy globally. He also works as an invited assistant professor at the School of Sciences – University of Minho (UM). He has a degree in Applied Biology and a Master's in Ecology from the University of Minho in Portugal and is a pre-doctorate in environmental sciences also at the UM having done part of his work at the University of Washington in Seattle – USA. During his career he received research grants from FCT, Fulbright or FLAD and was recently funded with an AIL/SIBECOL project grant for your researchers. He also worked as a researcher at the Landscape Laboratory – Guimarães and collaborated in several projects being author and co-author of several scientific publications in indexed journals mainly related with aquatic ecosystem conservation.
