Guilherme (Liam) is a manager and economist with experience in transactions involving sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, family offices, private equity, and venture capital firms. He has a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Portugal, a Master in Finance from Nova SBE, and a post-graduate degree in Applied Management from ISCTE-IUL, as well as a diploma in Corporate Governance from Nova SBE. He participated in the creation and implementation of the SBS Capital Fund (managed by the former Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship of the XIX Constitutional Government of Portugal). Later, he held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at and was partner of ISSHO Technology (a software company awarded by MIT Portugal) – until he exited his position – and assisted consultants with international M&As. In Academia, he was guest speaker at Nova SBE's Raising Capital course, and he is currently an invited professor at CESPU's Executive Master of Healthcare Management, lecturing on Strategic Management. At present, he is a Investment Manager at Portugal Ventures (Portugal's #1 VC), President of the Remunerations Commitee at X-Plora, and Board Observer at both Pruvo (Israel) and Fülhaus (Canada).
