Miguel J. Martins

Miguel has decades of experience in international development, finance, innovation and sustainability across emerging markets and developed economies. Between 2000 and 2019 he worked at the World Bank at Washington, where he held several positions in the Investment, Advisory and Knowledge & Learning departments. He led several flagship programs actively structuring sustainability strategies for financial institutions and stock exchanges in Latin America and piloted a series of programs in South-East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa leading a wide array of stakeholders towards the greening of agriculture value chains. Miguel created and led the Transformational Business Awards team of the Financial Times and IFC (World Bank), a worldwide reference project in the Sustainability area. He is still a Harvard’s University instructor, having delivered programs in the US and internationally.
